All the videos were created in Procreate and the music was made in GarageBand. I started off making the music first and our objective was either to use one instrument or to use recordings. I decided to use one instrument and decided on the guitar. After I finished the song I began the tedious job of creating five drawings. The basis for the drawings were that they had to be "Impossible Fiction." I did all five drawings in Procreate and utilized the gel pen, the smudger and the hard airbrush. I wanted to play around with color and highlight so therefore each background consists of a different color. After I created the videos and music, I took everything to Photoshop and put the music into the videos. The music was a lot longer than my videos so I shortened the song in Photoshop so it's very repetitive because I used the same part of the song in all the videos as I was confused as how to use different parts of the song in the videos. I then uploaded them to YouTube and here we are.
I arranged the composition so that a majority of the objects were centered, so that your eye gravitated towards that area. I started off in most of the drawings by drawing in different sections of the composition and then moving everything to the center because I felt it was more unified to put everything in the center instead of having one video in the center and the others all over the place.
What I was trying to achieve from this piece was just something fun and colorful. I wanted the "Impossible Fiction" to come into play because the videos all consisted of cute drawings of food that had eyes and terrible puns and the last video would be of the dragon eating all the foods. I didn't want anything intricate or messy so I just stuck to cute foods with faces.
